Digistar Generated Constellations 

 

 

This program is a live presentation. This program involves student interactions and participation. Each live presentation is tailored to the individual grade level. The program is approximately 1 hour in length.

All Grades

A basic introduction to the sky. All of the bright planets and most of the brightest stars and prominent constellations currently visible in the early evening will be found. Storytelling and student interaction will be used to enhance learning.


 
The following programs are recorded shows. Each lasts approximately 1/2 hour and is followed by a live presentation of the current evening sky.

Grades 6 and up 

Produced in the format of a fictitious top 40's radio station. All topics and songs have an astronomical theme.


Grades 6 and up 

James Earl Jones narrates this tour of the universe.  Provides a fine summary of the kinds of objects found in the universe, from planets to galaxies to supernovae.


Grades 6 and up

Our home galaxy is an enormous celestial pinwheel, brimming with billions of stars and exotic space oddities. How is it that such unearthly conditions gave rise to humans? Explore with us the answer modern astronomy provides.


Grade 8 and up

This multidisciplinary journey follows the history of life from the Big Bang to DNA. Ideal for general science, biology, or astronomy classes.


Grade 8 and up

This show takes a close look at the Milky Way galaxy and then sets sail for the galaxies beyond.

While facts would appear to favor the existence of life beyond Earth, statistics are not the whole story. Join us as Leonard Nimoy, narrates a logical examination of the evidence for life elsewhere in the universe.

Einstein's discoveries penetrated the hearts of stars and help to explore the mysteries of black holes. Come with us and explore the life and achievements of one of the greatest scientists of all time.


Come along on a fantastic voyage to the edge of all we know. This show takes the audience on a journey to super massive black holes, giant galaxy clusters, the universe's earliest moments, and even to parallel universes which challenge our imagination.


Many of the familiar customs that we observe this time of year have an astronomical connection. Our holiday offering explores the traditions that we associate with this special season. Offered only from Thanksgiving to Christmas.


Multi-program Sequence

Teachers who desire a more intensive experience might wish to consider bringing their class for more than one presentation.  Two or more programs can be scheduled as a multiple-visit series. In addition we offer a 3-lesson sequence in observational astronomy. Call us for further information.
