On Thursday, December 3rd, Abrams Planetarium will be hosting a telescope buying workshop. The purpose of the session is to help potential buyers avoid poorly designed equipment. Several types of telescopes will be set up so that attendees can learn the basic features to look for. Staff will be on hand to offer guidelines and answer questions. The planetarium will not be selling telescopes.

The workshop is free and begins at 7:00 p.m. and staff will remain until all questions are answered. Free parking is available immediately in front of Abrams Planetarium. The planetarium is located on the campus of Michigan State University on Shaw Lane, just east of Farm Lane.
