The one-day tutorial workshop is sponsored by the
Michigan State University
Center for Sensor Materials,
a NSF Materials Research Science and
Engineering Center,
by the MSU center for Fundamental Materials Research,
and by the Physics Departments of the University of Michigan,
Wayne State University
and Michigan State University.
The workshop is a focal point for academic and industrial scientists who are
pursuing projects
broadly associated with magnetic multilayers. Prominent speakers, both
local and national,
will give tutorial lectures describing their recent research. The meeting
(including coffee breaks
and lunch) is open to all interested scientists and students.
