These are the files for the IOP Publishing text-logo.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
The following files are in the TIFF format (compressed) that MS Word
seems to like the best.

The filenames are of the form

    IOP{intended resolution in dpi}{C=color or G=greyscale}.TIF

For example, the file for use with 600 dpi printers which contains the
'of' in the logo depicted in red would be IOP600C.TIF.

Though all of the files should work to some extent, you will probably get
the best results by using the files whose intended resolution best matches
the printer you will be using -- in most cases in P-A, this will be 600 dpi.
MS Word will let you rescale/resize the image on the page [note: the 1200dpi
images start out so "big" that MS Word may give up on trying to display the
actual image on-screen even after it has been resized to fit the page; it
should still print out OK].

IOP1200C.TIF 76,994 10-30-96 2:17p
IOP1200G.TIF 75,446 10-30-96 2:18p
IOP300C.TIF 7,801 10-30-96 2:26p
IOP300G.TIF 6,325 10-30-96 2:27p
IOP600C.TIF 20,666 10-30-96 2:20p
IOP600G.TIF 29,402 10-30-96 2:21p

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is a GIF file, generated at a rough approximation of 180 dpi,
which yields a screen image about 600 pixels wide.

IOP180C.GIF 1,959 10-30-96 2:49p

This ZIP file contains the TIFF files above, to make them easy to distribute.

IOP_TIF.ZIP 103,707 10-30-96 3:26p

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
This ZIP file contains 600 dpi versions of the TIFF files converted to
Encapsulated PostScript, for use in LaTeX documents, etc. The unZIPped
files are about 940 KB each, so they are not on the floppy disk in their
original form -- only inside the ZIP archive. You can move the ZIP file
to a hard drive and extract the originals if you need them.
