CDF at the University
of MichiganThis page contains links to physics documents written by members of the Michigan CDF group, upgrade documents, and notes on tools and software that we have written.
Each entry has a title, a summary, a list of authors, a date of publication or when it was last updated, a distribution designation, and links to the material in various formats. Each entry also has its bookmark noted, to help authors making links to it from other web pages.
The documents here are in many cases copies of the original. To verify that the document on this web is the most recent you may want to send mail to the author.

Electronic Shop Design File Structures
Electronics shop designs are often in use for many years, and are used by people other than the original designer. For the poor person asked to come up with schematics, artworks, etc. from only a board name, a structured design area can save a lot of time and effort. For this reason, there is a required area and structure for board, chip, and FPGA designs done in the electronics shop.

Designing PCB's in the Electronic Shop
The purpose of this document is to provide an introduction to the PCB design process in the Physics Department electronics shop. This is a fairly complicated procedure, so this document should be used as a supplement to the regular Mentor documentation available and to the assistance of the staff engineers.
