Concerning the cover art for Electromagnetism:

Jerry and I like the concept that you sent us
some days ago.  But for scientific reasons we'd
like to show electric field lines BELOW
the sphere as well as above.  (The original
figure that we prepared for the text had only
lines above the sphere.)

I've put the new figure on a web page,
as a postscript file.  You'll find it at
this site:

The file name is CoverArt.ps.

I suppose you can work from the postscript file;
show shadowing on the sphere as you did before,
and clean up the figure where necessary. Another
difference compared to the original figure is that
there are no arrows on the field lines.  Jerry
and I agree that the field lines don't need arrows.
(And the arrows may tend to clutter up the figure.)

Let me know if you have any problem
getting the field from the web page.
