PHY184 Practice Exams
-
Why a Practice Exam?
- I decided to distribute a "practice exam" following the students' request
to "see what a typical exam is like". It is quite some work to set it up
correctly; please, don't expect more!
-
Rules for a Practice Exam:
- Whatever you do, you don't lose, since the practice exam is worth 0 points.
- Following students' requests, I do not post the correct answers
immediately, but just the day before the exam. In this way, everybody
can "try and guess".
- What about the problems you could not solve? Not after many tries?
Following your requests, I post the correct answers of all problems the
day before the exam. To access the correct answers, enter the practice
exam, as you would normally when you solve it CAPA-style, and then
"View previous set", giving the set number.
- If everybody, EVERYBODY wishes so, I will never reveal the correct answers
to the practice exam. Everybody can keep guessing as long as they like.
I think it is not fair to those who tried, failed, and would like to know
the correct answer, well before the exam. If you want to keep guessing,
please be our guest. A little self-restraint is required not to peek into
the correct answers, but this is what I expect from MSU students.
If you want differently, please remind me before the next exam to take
a vote in the class on how to set the
"due date for the 0-points practice exam".
