is an organization run by student volunteers at Michigan State University who go out into the community to teach children and adults alike about the wonders of science.

To request a Science Theatre performance at your school, institution, or event, please contact us at sciencet@pa.msu.edu with the subject title "Science Theatre Performance Request". Appearances are made free of charge and can be customized in length and content to fit your needs. Performances are made by student volunteers well-trained in safety and the demonstrations they will present.

The Science Theatre office is located in the lower level of MSU's Abrams Planetarium. For any information or to join Science Theatre, please contact us by email.

6 February 2012 Physics director Patrick McWilliams will be hosting a demonstration development session to discuss physics-related demo ideas. Stop by between 2-5 PM to get your physics on!
27 January 2012 Officers Kate Perry and Eric Janshego will be hosting a demonstration development session to come up with some cool new demos and share a few of their own. Stop by the Planetarium basement from 4-7 PM to discuss biology and physics related demo ideas!
26 January 2012 Science Theatre is taking over Zap Zone for some LASER TAG! We will be meeting at the Planetarium at 7:45 PM. If you are interested in going, please email Kate at perrykai@msu.edu with your name, whether you can drive, and how many can ride with you.
18 January 2012 Science Theatre's first meeting of the year is coming up this Wednesday at 7:30 PM in 1400 BPS. We will be honoring the outstanding members of Science Theatre with the Fall Semester Honorable Member awards. We will also discuss the upcoming officer elections and as always FREE PIZZA AND SODA!
17 January 2012 Science Theatre will be taking over the Rock before our first meeting of the semester. Starting at 6 PM, we will be staking our claim on the Rock, so come and join us!

28 October 2011 ST Annual Halloween Extravaganza will take place October 28th, 2011 from 5:00-7:30 PM in Abrams Planetarium. Halloween-themed demos will be performed and prizes awarded for the best childrens costumes!
22 October 2011 ST is taking a trip to Uncle John's Cider Mill to check out their corn maze, horse-drawn carriage rides through the orchard, and to pick up some excellent pie. If interested, meet us in the Planetarium basement (accessible through the back door nearest the chemistry building) at 11:30 AM. We will be back to the Planetarium by 4:30 PM. Drivers are needed!
20 October 2011 Our second ST meeting of the school year will take place Thursday October 20 in room 1410 BPS. We will discuss demos and our Halloween Extravaganza. As always, pizza and soda will be provided!

Many Science Theatre members were considered for the award, all of whom volunteered a trememdous amount of their time during the 2008-2009 academic year and demonstrated exceptional ability as peformers.
