July 2008
- (Completed, July 19th) Agriculture Fair in Goodland Township, MI.
Shannon, Nathan, and Asra led three agriculture-related hands-on demos (onion DNA extraction, predator/prey, and tie-dye milk) and performed two stage shows with the bed of nails.


August 2008
- (Completed, August 21st) MSU Honors College Freshman Convocation, 5pm at Wharton Center.
Shannon, Tess, and Nathan greeting incoming Honors College students with a small hands-on demo (Surface Area and Reaction Rate with potassium permanganate and glycerol) in the Wharton Center lobby.
- (Completed, August 23rd) Sparticipation 2008.
Shannon, Jessie, Steve, Dave, Tess, Nathan, and Asra manned a booth near the Auditorium passing out candy and flyers for the first general body meetings. Before rain ended the event, methanol cannons and colored water with dry ice were set up at the booth to draw attention.


September 2008
- (Completed, September 8th and 16th) First general body meetings of 2008. Steve and Dave demonstrated wave mechanics with the flame tube and illustrated temporal aliasing with the stroboscope. New members were oriented with the group and upcoming shows were announced. Pizza and pop was enjoyed by all.


October 2008
- (Completed, October 7th) 6pm at Biomedical and Physical Sciences (BPS) building, room 1400. This was the organizational meeting for National Chemistry Day and included a special presentation by Adriane Slaton, doctoral student in Urban Science Education. Pizza and pop was provided.


If you are interested in participating in National Chemistry Day you MUST notify the ST director by email (moreysh1@msu.edu) so you may sign up for content training.

Content Training Sessions for National Chemistry Day (NCD particpants MUST attend one!)
- (Monday, October 20th) 5:30pm in Science Theatre's headquarters in the Abrams Planetarium. Training for the "Doppler Effect," "Density and Bouyancy," and "Polymers" demos.
- (Tuesday, October 21st) 5:30pm in Science Theatre's headquarters in the Abrams Planetarium. Training for the "Angular Momentum," "Buffers and Blood," and "Collisions and Conservation" demos.
- (Wednesday, October 22nd) 6:30pm in Science Theatre's headquarters in the Abrams Planetarium. Training for the "Doppler Effect," "Density and Bouyancy," and "Collisions and Conservation" demos.
- (Thursday, October 23rd) 6:30pm in Science Theatre's headquarters in the Abrams Planetarium. Training for the "Buffers and Blood," "Angular Momentum," and "Polymers" demos.


- (October 25th) National Chemistry Day at Impression 5 Science Museum in Lansing. Volunteers may work one or both shifts: 8:45-12:45 or 12:15 to 4:30. Volunteers will gather at the planetarium and be driven to Impression 5. Transportation will be provided. Lunch will be provided for volunteers who work both shifts. Working both shifts will qualify you for a free ST t-shirt!


November 2008
- (November 21st) From 1:30 to 3pm, a hands-on and stage performance at Laingsburg Christian School.
