SCIENCE THEATRE SAFETY

Safety, of course, is a primary concern. For this reason, Science Theatre reserves the right to postpone or cancel any demonstration or any part of a demonstration that the ST event staff deems inappropriate or in any way unsafe.

ACCIDENT PROTOCOL:

Now included in each event folder is a sheet outlining what to do should an accident occur. Part of this sheet is an accident report form, which will be used to list parties injuried and the course of action taken.

If medical care beyond what can be administered on-site is required, then medical attention should be sought at the following places:

  1. Olin Health Center Urgent Care Clinic (355-0219)
    M-F 8:00am-9:45pm
Sat (Fall & Spring semesters) 9:00am-12:00noon

  2. If Olin Health Center is closed or it is an emergency, go to Sparrow Hospital
    1215 E. Michigan Avenue (483-2222)

  3. If not in the Lansing area, ask the event contact for the nearest medical facility, or call 911 if it is an emergency
