PHY 183 (Section 2):
Physics for Scientists and Engineers I

Fall 2003

Partial Credit by Corrections Assignments

After each midterm, you have the option of doing the Partial Credit by Corrections assignment. To get the full benefit, you should try to get 100% on it. (Remember the grade calculation you did on HW Set 1...) That means you should do all the problems - regardless of which ones were missed on the original exam. For more questions, consult the FAQ page on the web at http://www.pa.msu.edu/~tomanek/PHY183/FAQ.html

You can start as early as Tuesday morning following the exam; the PCC is due Friday at 3 am (late Thursday night). To get started, you need to request your four digit CAPA ID first. Please follow the procedure below:

(1) Go to the usual CAPA sign-in page.

(2) Then Click here to request your CAPA ID.

(3) Select xpc183-002 from the drop down menu (NOT phy183-002).

(4) Enter your student number, and select set 1 for Midterm 1, set 2 for Midterm 2, …

(5)   Click the button, and the system will email you the CAPA ID.

(6)   Now to do the assignment, go back to the CAPA sign-in page and, once again, select xpc183-002; enter your student # and CAPA ID.

You are free to get assistance on the PCC. The help room will be open and fully staffed this week. Good Luck!
