Title: Searches for heavy resonances at ATLAS
Refreshments available at 1:30 pm.
This talk will discuss searches for new, heavy resonances using data collected using the ATLAS detector at the CERN Large Hadron Collider (LHC). The LHC is allowing physicists to probe the highest mass ranges yet reached, and a large effort is underway to detect the signature of very massive particles. I will cover the search program underway to find heavy vector, scalar and tensor resonances. The primary focus will be on efforts by MSU ATLAS researchers.
