A conundrum in measuring neutrino oscillation parameters is that one has to bring nuclear and hadronic physics under control. In this talk, I argue that the hadronic physics is amenable to non-perturbative QCD calculations using lattice gauge theory. If this enterprise is successful, it will remove some background chatter from the conversation between nuclear models and experimental data.
