Heiko Hergert receives DoE Early Career Award

Dr. Heiko Hergert, an Assistant Professor in the Physics & Astronomy Department with a joint appointment at the National Superconducting Cyclotron Laboratory (NSCL) and the Facility for Rare Isotope Beams (FRIB) has received an Early Career Research Program Award from the Office of Science of the U.S. Department of Energy. The Office of Nuclear Physics selected him on the basis of his proposal “Advanced Ab Initio Methods for Nuclear Structure.” Out of about 700 proposals, 59 were selected for these awards in 2017 (PDF File with list of those selected).
